Prayer: "Saint Michael the Archangel

Defend us in battle.
Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray.

O Prince of the heavenly host, by the holy power of God,

cast into hell – Satan - and all the evil spirits
who roam the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen "

About Us

Engaging with our Times

  • Parish by parish, we seek to build confidence in Catholic guidance on political and cultural issues of our day. We invite parishioners to gather together and discuss arming themselves to:
  • 1. Pay attention:            What difficult events and ideas are worthy of our Catholic attention?
  • 2. Discern God’s Plan:  How do we discern God’s will in these unsettled times?
  • 3. Arm yourselves:        Catholic tenants to guide us. Tools that help us navigate and respond.
  • 4. Fight with skill:         How to think and speak about unsettling matters (your own Catholic apologetics).
  • 5. Build alliances:         Freedom of conscience: Strengthening our culture of diversity with Catholic faith.
  • 6. Plan long term:         The hunger of youth to understand. What comes next?

Fellowship; Good Discussions; Research

Come to hear and discuss what thoughtful writers, saints, popes, philosophers, theologians, political leaders, and others have had to say about living out our Catholic faith in the 21st century.

  •  1. Opening prayer. Reviewer presents the chosen topic, giving a Catholic perspective.
  • 2. Reviewer of the month then asks a few questions to begin our discussion.
  • 3. Discussion continues, guided by insight and truth drawn from Scripture, Catechism and Magisterium.
  • 4. Finally, we chose the next meeting topic, date and presenter. Evening ends with closing prayer.
  • 5.  Website and emails provide access to leading thinkers, ideas and events.

Closing Prayer

Lord, may we follow St. Paul’s plan of battle (Ephesians 6).        We will:

  • 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that [we] may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
  • 12 For we are not contending against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world rulers of this present darkness, against the spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.
  • 13 Therefore take the whole armor of God, that [we] may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
  • 14 Stand therefore, having girded our loins with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness,
  • 15 and having shod our feet with the equipment of the gospel of peace;
  • 16 above all taking the shield of faith, with which [we] can quench all the flaming darts of the evil one.
  • 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. AMEN.
